San Francisco Giants icon Bobby Bonds wore this Wilson A2000 fielder’s glove circa 1973-74. The Riverside native was an All-Star in 1973, hitting a career-high 39 homers with 96 RBI, a .283 batting average, and 43 steals. The father of baseball’s home run king led all of baseball in total bases (341) and runs scored (131) in 1973, earning a top-three finish in the National League MVP race. Bonds had another excellent season in 1974, his final year with the Giants, hitting 21 homers with 71 RBI and 41 steals. A Gold Glove winner in 1973 and 1974, Bonds retired after the 1981 season with three All-Star appearances to his name.
This offered Wilson A2000 fielder’s glove has a circular Wilson logo sewn into the thumb slot. “BONDS 25” is hand-written in black marker on the pinky finger slot. Other hand-writing and a second “25” is written on and around the thumb slot. A Wilson “The A2000” logo is engraved in the palm of this glove. The glove comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1G00584).
