This Hillerich & Bradsby W215 model bat was used by Hall of Famer Carl Yastrzemski during the 1973 season. During that season Yaz hit .296 clip with 19 home runs and 95 RBI as he appeared in 152 games. The Hillerich & Bradsby W125 model bat shows excellent game use with a crack on the handle. The barrel exhibits checking from repeated ball contact, along with several ball marks, stitch impressions and red and black bat rack streaks. The bat’s model number “W125” stamped into the knob and Yaz’s number “8” has been handwritten in black marker. To complete this impressive game Yaz signed his name in a red fine-tipped marker on the barrel. A great piece of Red Sox history and this bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (H53069) for the game use and has been graded a solid GU 8. There is also a LOA from JSA for the signature.
