Former wide receiver Dave Williams spent the 1973 season with both the Pittsburgh Steelers and San Diego Chargers. During his time with the Chargers in 1973, Williams appeared in six games, catching 7 passes for 118 yards. Offered here is a classic powder blue Chargers home jersey worn by Williams during the 1973 season. This Sand-Knit mesh jersey has Williams’ number “84” screen-printed on the front, back and sleeves in yellow with white borders. The front left tail has a “Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the San Diego Chargers AMERICAN FOOTBALL CONFERENCE by Sand-Knit” tag and a “Sand-Knit size 46” wash tag. The sleeves and torso are separated by a white stripe that has a yellow lightning bolt outlined in blue. The back has remnants of a blank matching blue mesh nameplate and the outer edges are still sewn on above the number. On the front center tail are three buttons. This jersey displays moderate use and has mesh holes exposed in some of the numbered screen-print. The game used jersey worn by Williams comes with an LOA from MEARS (317705) who have given this jersey a very high grade of A9.
