The 1973 New York Knicks, led by coach Red Holzman and a star-studded frontcourt, defeated the high-octane Los Angeles Lakers in a five-game NBA Finals. Willis Reed, the hero of the 1970 NBA Finals, was named Finals MVP after scoring 16.4 points with 9.2 rebounds per game. To-date, this is the last title in franchise history. Offered here are two multi-signed items from the 1973 World Champion New York Knicks. The first item is a Spalding Official Game Ball that has been signed by six members of the 1973 Knicks. All of the signatures have been signed in black marker and this ball is a limited-edition 204/500. Signatures include Willis Reed, Bill Bradley, Walt Frazier, Earl Monroe, Dave DeBusschere and Red Holtzman. This comes with a STICKER ONLY from Upper Deck Authenticated (BAC20176). The second item is a 30 x 30-inch framed piece that was made “from the lens of George Kalinsky”. This piece is a limited-edition 90/250 and features individual game photos of players and staff from the 1973 team. Each photo has the signature of the player/coach/trainer next to his image and has 15 total signatures. The signatures include (clockwise from the top right) Phil Jackson, Hawthorne Wingo, John Gianelli, Earl Monroe, Red Holtzman, Henry Bibby, Dean Meminger, Willis Reed, Walt Frazier, Bill Bradley, Dan Whalen (trainer), Dick Barnett and Dave DeBusschere. The artist has signed his name in the lower right corner and a gold plate with the Knicks logo reads “”1973 WORLD CHAMPIONS” NEW YORK KNICKERBOCKERS FROM THE LENS OF GEORGE KALINSKY MADISON SQUARE GARDEN LIMITED EDITION 090/250”.
