The '73 Sugar Bowl saw a record 93-yard kickoff return and a QB-to-QB 25-yard TD trick play, but it was Tom Clements' clutch pass out of his own end zone on third-and-nine with two minutes left that has gone down in history as one of the Sugar Bowl's most dramatic moments. Incredibly, hero Robin Weber who caught the 36-yard pass was a second option who hadn't even made a single reception the entire season! This Balfour 10K-gold, size 10-1/2 was bestowed upon talented walk-on defensive back Tim Rudnick who passed away just last year. There are 4 CZ stones in the border and a gold "ND" inlaid in the central blue stone. EX/MT condition. Accompanied by a 1997 purchase LOA and a vintage Balfour brown presentation box with metal trim.
