Offered is a Hank Aaron signature on the front cover of the April 15, 1974 issue of Sports Illustrated, which features a color photograph of Aaron in his white Atlanta Braves uniform, his right arm upraised with a baseball in hand, captioned “715”. Aaron has signed his name in blue marker over the front of his Braves jersey. The Baseball Hall of Fame slugger hit his 715th career home run on April 8, 1974 off Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Al Downing at Fulton County Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia, breaking Babe Ruth’s record of 714 career home runs that had stood since 1935. Aaron hit his 755th and final home run on July 20, 1976, at Milwaukee County Stadium off Dick Drago of the California Angels, which stood as the MLB career home run record until it was broken in 2007 by Barry Bonds.
