Still the Minnesota Twins all-time leader in home runs (559), RBI (1,540), bases on balls (1,505), strikeouts (1,629) and games played (2,329), the late-great Harmon Kllibrew might just be the all-time face of the franchise; and remember the Twins were the Washington Senators for the team’s first sixty years as well.

      “Killer” wore this fantastic, vintage, polyester double-knit uniform during his final season with the Twins in 1974. Perhaps the final home uniform worn by Killebrew that season, a strip tag reading “74 Set 3” is adhered to the left front tail of the pullover jersey. Killebrew’s number 3 is in red and blue tackle twill on the back and under the Twins cursive logo on the front. V-neck collar and shirt sleeve ends are ringed in elastic red, white and blue. “Minnie and Paul” Twin Cities logo patch of two players shaking hands is on the left sleeve. Killebrew signed the inside rear collar in bold blue sharpie under the Wilson size-46 manufacturers tag. Jersey shows heavy game use with pine tar, dirt and various colored stains on the sleeves.

     Size-36 pants are ringed at the top with a red, white and blue, two-snap waist band and contain Wilson manufacturers label and strip tag reading: “3 74 set 2 36 2A.” Red, white and blue piping runs along the length of the legs and pants show heavy game use with a smattering of stains including pine-tar, dirt, grass and possibly tobacco spit and blood.
