Offered here for auction is a 1975-76 Cincinnati Stingers (a member of the World Hockey Association) team ring. The Stingers finished the season with 71 points, while the Winnipeg Jets and the Quebec Nordiques (teams that later became members of the NHL) finished with 106 and 104 points, respectively. Rick Dudley led Cincinnati with 43 goals and 81 points. Dennis Sobchuk finished second on the team with 32 goals to go along with 72 points. The face of this Jostens manufactured 10K gold ring features the Stingers team logo on a dark colored stone. “CINCINNATI STINGERS WHA” reads around the bezel setting. An image of a hockey player appears on the left shank, with the name “D. SOBCHUK” and number 14 in a banner display, and “1975-76” at the bottom. The opposite shank displays another depiction of a player, with “CENTER” and the number 14 in a banner, with “1975-76” down below. Inside the band shows both the manufacturer and 10K marks. This ring weighs approximately 24.7 grams with it being an approximate size 10. This item comes with a LOA from Dennis Sobchuk.
