Encapsulated and graded 8.5 with “Off-White to White Pages” by CGC. There was a time when Marvel had nearly given up on the X-Men, but they came roaring back in a big way in “Giant-Size X-Men” #1, published in 1975, with a story that had Professor X send Cyclops with a whole new team to rescue his original teammates. The result was the first appearance of names every comic book fan knows today: Storm, Nightcrawler, Colossus, and Thunderbird, all joined by Wolverine. Not surprisingly, this issue has been a mainstay for collectors over the years, as the “X-Men” have grown in popularity. Their introduction into the Marvel Cinematic Universe will only increase the value of “X-Men” comics in the future.
This presented copy from the Signature Series is signed by creator Stan Lee across the cover with a black marker. Signed copies of “Giant-Size X-Men” #1 are always in high demand, especially in Very Fine+ condition.
