Rodney "The Rifle" Derline agreed to the terms of this Uniform Player Contract in July, 1975. The document provided for the Elma, Washington native – who was chosen in the 10th round of the 1974 NBA Draft (the 169th overall pick) – to play for his hometown Seattle SuperSonics. Derline has signed the document in black ink, and placed his initials beside a number of stipulations on the previous page. The club's G.M., Hall of Famer Bill Russell, signed the document to represent the team. His bold and rare, full-name signature ("William F. Russell") appears in blue ballpoint. This comes with a COA from JSA.
