Each year, the National Collegiate Athletic Association honors six outstanding athletes on the 25th anniversary of their college graduation. The tradition began in 1973, and Bob Cousy was one of the first athletes honored in 1975. The former Celtics legend played for Holy Cross in the late 1940’s, joining the team for the 1946-47 season. Cousy played for Holy Cross through the 1949-50 season, averaging a solid 15.2 points per game in 115 collegiate games. A three-time All-American, Cousy developed into one of the best point guards in NBA history with the Boston Celtics, averaging 18.4 points and 7.5 assists per game. Cousy led the NBA in assists per game in every season from 1952-53 through 1959-60 and was inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 1971. Cousy has signed this offered 1975 Silver Anniversary Award plaque. It is accompanied by a COA from JSA (EE83147).
