In an NBA.com article, sportswriter Reagan Berube described Boston's 1975-76 championship as the last hurrah for "one of the proudest eras in the history of professional sports." Berube goes on to call it "the final edition of the old-blooded squads, as within two years after winning the 1976 title, the winds of change swept through Boston. Tom Heinsohn would be out as coach, John Havlicek would retire and Dave Cowens left to play elsewhere. Jo Jo White was hobbled by injury and Paul Silas left as a free agent." And those 75-76 Celtics sure went out with a bang. Many fans still hail the Green and White's NBA Finals Game 5 triple-overtime victory over the Phoenix Suns as the greatest game ever. Manufactured by Balfour, this gold-plated, size-12 salesman's sample is modeled on that of Havlicek and features a CZ stone. The inner band is engraved, "SA 136323-2." EX condition. Accompanied by a Balfour box.
