Presented is a 12 x 15 inch wood-base plaque given to NBA Hall of Famer Dave Bing by the Varsity Club Inc. of Detroit, MI. There is a 6 ½ x 6 ½ inch black and white photo of Bing in his Detroit Pistons uniform dribbling mounted on a gold plate. There is an additional 5 x 8 inch gold plate that reads “13TH ANNUAL AWARD OF THE VARSITY CLUB INC. DETROIT, MICH. DAVE BING IN RECOGNITION OF HIS SCINTILLATING PERFORMANCE EARNING HIM NATIONAL BASKETBALL ASSOCIATION, ROOKIE OF THE YEAR AWARD AND PROVIDING DRAMATIC BASKETBALL FOR THE DETROIT PUBLIC.
