After being sent down to the minors after the 1976 season, Jesus Alou refused to quit. The outfielder made it back to The Show in 1978 with the Houston Astros where he hit a stunning .324. Alou wrapped up his career after the 1979 season with a lifetime .280 average. Alou’s Hillerich & Bradsby C276 model bat shows outstanding use with a crack in the back handle. Numerous ball marks are found on all sides of the barrel along with green bat rack paint streaks. A light coat of pine tar is on the handle and Alou’s number “22” is hand written on the knob in black marker. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B15190) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.
