Bucky Dent is a two-time World Series champion shortstop and three-time All-Star, most notably with the New York Yankees. Dent's most famous Yankee moment came in Game 163 of the season, virtually a one game playoff between the Bombers and Boston Red Sox. With all the star power in the contest, it was Dent who provided the big hit, a three-run homer over the Green Monster to give the Yankees a 3-2 lead, eventually winning the game 5-4. This black-famed and white-matted collection includes a 7.75 x 8-inch B&W photograph with Dent being welcomed home by teammates Roy White and Chris Chambliss, who scored ahead of Dent's go ahead blast. It reads over two lines, “BUCKY DENT’S 1978 GAME WINNING HR – SHOCKS RED SOXS – WINS A.L. EAST PLAY OFF” on the top and “1978 WORLD SERIES MVP” on the bottom. Dent’s signature appears in blue Sharpie across his lower body. It’s also signed by White and Chambliss, also in blue Sharpie. The ticket stub has been encapsulated by PSA as AUTHENTIC, certifying this Red Sox ticketholder likely went home very depressed. The ticket is exceptionally rare since is was only a one game playoff as represented by the 'E2' on the ticket. Framed to a dimension of 13 x 19 inches. COA from PSA/DNA, cert number “C70954.”
