James Bailey began his NBA career with the Seattle SuperSonics, joining the team via the 1979 NBA Draft and playing the first two seasons, and part of his third NBA season, for Seattle. Bailey wore this green Sonics jersey in the 1979 to 1981 time period, with the former UMass star averaging 9.6 points and 5.4 rebounds per game over that era for Seattle. An arched yellow-white-yellow band accents the jersey’s front, with “SEATTLE” printed on that ribbon in green lettering. Bailey’s number “20” is printed on the chest and back in yellow and white numerals. A second yellow-white-yellow band adorns the jersey’s back, with “BAILEY” printed in green lettering on the back. A Rawlings size “44” tag with an attached “4 Inch Extra Length” flag is sewn on the front right tail. The jersey shows heavy use, including some stains, and comes with a LOA from MEARS (317921) assigning the jersey the highest possible grade of A10.
