Diego Maradona wore this sky blue and white Argentina men’s national soccer team primary kit in 1979. Maradona broke out for the national team in 1979 as a teenager, and scored his first competitive goal for Argentina the same year, notching their third against Bolivia in a 3-0 win at the 1979 Copa America, Maradona’s first major international tournament. Maradona was near the end of his decorated Argentinos Juniors career in 1979, primed for a brief stay in Buenos Aires with Boca Juniors before his European career began with a move to FC Barcelona. In total, Maradona made 91 appearances for Argentina, scoring 34 goals and winning the 1986 FIFA World Cup in Mexico.

This offered Argentina national team jersey features vertical sky blue and white stripes, and an Argentine Football Association logo on the chest. An Adidas trefoil logo is also located on the chest. Maradona’s number “10,” traditionally bestowed on a team’s chief playmaker or star, is applied to the jersey’s back in black felt applique. An Adidas tag is sewn on the back inside collar. The jersey shows moderate and consistent wear. This historic jersey is a veritable treasure from the very beginning of Diego Maradona’s incomparable international career with Argentina. It is accompanied by a LOA from MEARS (317907) for the game use
