Joe Morgan was winding down his Hall of Fame career during the 1980-83 seasons when he used this Louisville slugger M253 model bat. The 1975 and 1976 National League MVP combined for 49 home runs and 200 RBI when he spent those four seasons with three different teams, including the Houston Astros, San Francisco Giants and Philadelphia Phillies.

Morgan’s bat displays outstanding game use with a very slight handle crack. There are ball marks, stitch impressions, blue ink transfers and green and red bat rack streaks present on the barrel. There is a light coating of pine tar on the lower handle and a moderate coating of pine tar on the upper handle. Morgan’s number “8” is handwritten on the knob in black marker. Morgan has signed this bat on the barrel and the 1990 Hall of Fame inductee inscribed “HOF ‘90”. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B06929) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.5. There is also a COA from Beckett Authentication (G38003) for the signature.
