Loren Toews played his entire 11-season NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, winning four Super Bowls with the era’s dominant franchise between 1973 and 1983. Toews wore this offered Steelers home jersey during the 1980 NFL season, his eighth season after the Steelers selected the former California linebacker in the eighth round of the 1973 NFL Draft. Toews recorded a safety in 1980 as defensive statistics were still several seasons away from universal tracking by the NFL. This offered Steelers home jersey is black, with Toews’ number “51” sewn on the chest, back, and shoulders in white tackle twill. “TOEWS” is sewn across the back shoulders in yellow tackle twill over a matching black nameplate. Pittsburgh’s familiar yellow and white striping is present on the sleeves, while numerous team repairs dot this jersey. A Steelers tag, a Medalist Sand-Knit tag with a size “48” flag, and an “80” year tags are sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. This jersey comes with a Steelers LOA.
