In 1980 the Philadelphia Phillies accomplished the unthinkable by winning the franchise’s first World Series title. Buoyed by the great talent of Mike Schmidt, Steve Carlton, Pete Rose and more, the Phillies narrowly defeated the Houston Astros in the NLCS, and vanquished the Kansas City Royals in a six-game World Series.

This Official 1980 World Series Bowie K. Kuhn baseball has been signed by 27 members of the victorious 1980 Phillies, with manager Dallas Green’s signature occupying the sweet spot. Hall of Famers Mike Schmidt and Steve Carlton have also signed this baseball. Other signatures include Tug McGraw, Pete Rose, Bob Boone, Bake McBride, Greg Luzinski, Ruben Amaro, Greg Gross, Gary Maddox, Marty Bystrom, Manny Trillo, Ron Reed, George Vukovich, Larry Christenson, Warren Brusstar, Del Unser, and several more. The signatures have been written in black pen. This item comes with a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication.
