These approximately 30 inch felt pennants commemorate the New York Yankees winning the 1981 AL Championship and being in that year’s World Series, where they dropped a tough six-game series to the Los Angeles Dodgers. The left side features a team scroll listing names such as Rich Gossage, Ron Guidry, Reggie Jackson and Dave Winfield. The main portion has “WORLD SERIES” and “1981 AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPIONS” with “NEW YORK” and the Yankees logo. While many of these all original pennants are in unused EX to EX/MT condition, the majority have light staining along the left edge.
