This great gamer dates back to the very beginning of Ozzie's Hall of Fame career. Back in 1981 Smith was in his last year with the Padres and had just been called "The Wizard of Oz" for the first time in his career. The young shortstop also made the first of his 15 All-Star appearances. The two tone Louisville Slugger B299 model bat shows excellent use with a handle crack. Several ball marks with stitch impressions can be seen and there is a light coat of pine tar on the handle. A great early Ozzie Smith gamer.
