The late Terry Duerod was a fan favorite when he played on the Boston Celtics during their 1980-81 World Championship season, with fans clamoring for the twelfth man by screaming “Dooo!” whenever Duerod entered games. Duerod would earn the only NBA title of his career that season, and this presented Omega Boston Celtics Championship watch was given to Duerod for his efforts during the title-capturing season. The watch features black leather wrist straps with a gold buckle and buckle tongue. “OMEGA” is labeled in gold on the inside of the wrist strap. “GENUINE LIZARD 23/32 L” is also labeled in gold on the inside wrist strap. The white obverse of this watch features the Boston Celtics “Four Leaf Clover” with “NBA” and “WORLD CHAMPIONS 1981” in green. A gold bezel surrounds the timepiece. The watch features heavy elements of wear and contains wear on the straps and some black marks on the bezel. The 1981 World Champion Boston Celtics Omega watch owned by Terry Duerod comes with a Letter of Provenance from Rosemary Duerod, the late Terry’s wife.
