Fresh off his National Junior College championship, Coach Nolan Richardson arrived at the University of Tulsa with four of his Western Texas Junior College starters in tow. The new-and-improved Golden Hurricanes captured the NIT championship by beating Syracuse 86-84 in overtime as Greg Stewart hit the winning shot and took tournament MVP honors. Richardson remains the only coach in history to win championships at all three levels—Junior College, NIT Tournament and NCAA Tournament. This stainless-steel, size 13-1/2 ring features a red-enamel, apple-shaped NIT design on the face and attractive shank designs. NM condition. Accompanied by a 1997 purchase LOA.
