San Diego Padres pitcher Rick Wise wore this brown pullover Padres road jersey during the 1982 MLB season, his final year in the Major Leagues. Wise debuted in 1964 and pitched 18 years in the Major Leagues for the Phillies, Red Sox, Cardinals, Indians, and Padres, winning 188 games and making two All-Star teams. Wise made one appearance for the Padres in 1982, pitching two innings on the road against the Los Angeles Dodgers before the Padres released him on April 16th.

This pullover jersey has “Padres” sewn across the chest in yellow and orange tackle twill. “WISE” is sewn across the back shoulders in yellow tackle twill over a matching brown nameplate. The name on the back of the jersey has been restored, which is common for 1982 Padres gamers. His number “40” is sewn on the back of the jersey in yellow and orange tackle twill. A Wilson size “44” tag is sewn on the back inside collar and a “40 82” swatch is sewn on the front left tail. This jersey comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
