Rod Carew started off the 1982 season by breaking his hand. While other players would bow out for the year while they recuperated, not Rod – swinging almost entirely with his one good hand, Carew played 138 games and hit a resounding .319 – all the while in mind-numbing pain. His grit and determination inspired the rest of the Angels and the club swept into the post season. This Adirondack 381B model bat displays excellent use and has a cracked handle. Carew’s number “29” is hand written on both the knob and barrel end. The Hall of Famer has signed the bat’s barrel in black ink adding “3053”, “HOF 91”, “.328 Career Avg”, and “7x Batting Champ”. A great gamer with the stats hand written by the guy who posted them. This bat comes with LOAs from PSA/DNA (1B10322 & AA07665) and they have graded this bat a GU 8.5.
