Elected to the Hall of Fame in 2003, Gary Carter was an 11-time all-star and a fan favorite throughout his career. "The Kid" used this Louisville Slugger P89 from 1983-1985 during which he made the National League All-Star squad each summer and won a pair of Silver Slugger Awards. The bat shows heavy use with a repaired handle crack. Many ball marks and stitch impressions are visible on the barrel and a heavy coat of pine tar is found on the handle. Carter’s number “8” has been hand written on the knob end in black marker. This bat comes with a full LOA from MEARS (314383) for the game use and a grade of A9.5.
