Wayman Tisdale was awarded this Chevrolet Scholarship Program “MVP of the Week” Award for his performance against Indiana in the NCAA Tournament. The Oklahoma Sooners superstar, then only a freshman, led the Sooners with 14 points against Uwe Blab and the two-seed Hoosiers. Tisdale, the Big 8 Conference Player of the Year in each of his three college seasons, led the Sooners with 24.5 points and 10.3 rebounds per game during the 1982-83 season. This plaque comes in a 11 ½ x 13 ½ inch display. Two circular medallions, one for the Chevrolet Scholarship Program and the other for the NCAA, as well as a plaque honoring Tisdale, are mounted in this display. This item comes with a LOA from Regina Tisdale, the wife of the late Wayman Tisdale.
