The 1983 Major League All-Star game featured a dominating performance by the junior circuit as California Angels outfielder Fred Lynn delivered the only grand slam in all-star history leading the American League to a 13-3 victory. It was the first victory for the American League since 1971 and only its second win since 1963. Hall of Famer Rod Carew also made his 17th appearance in the game in collected two hits and a RBI. Offered is the OFFICIAL BALL 1983 ALL-STAR GAME Bowie Kuhn baseball. The “50th Anniversary All-Star Game Logo on side panel and Lynn signed his name in blue pen and inscribed “1st & ONLY GRAND SLAM” on the sweet spot. Carew signed his name on the side panel in blue pen. This baseball comes with a COA from PSA/DNA (Z20899).
