In an action-packed contest that wasn’t decided until going overtime, the East defeated the West, 154-145, in the 1984 NBA All-Star Game. Isiah Thomas was named the game’s Most Valuable Player after scoring 21 points and dishing out 15 assists. While Thomas took home the MVP trophy, there were several other candidates for the award. Julius Erving scored a game-high 34 points for the East squad, to go along with eight rebounds, five assists and two blocked shots. The Los Angeles Lakers duo of Magic Johnson (15 points, 22 assists) and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (25 points, 13 rebounds) starred for the West.
This is the 1984 NBA All-Star Game ring presented to Hall of Famer and NBA all-time leading scorer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Manufactured by Balfour, this ring has a large red stone, with a small image of a basketball on it, with “NBA ALL STAR” being displayed around the bezel setting. An NBA league logo centers one side, with the name “ABDUL-JABBAR” appearing in a banner above. The year “1984” appears at the top of the opposite side, over an image of the game’s logo, which reads “34th NBA ALL-STAR GAME DENVER”. Manufacturer marks appear inside the band of this approximate size 11 ring. This item weighs approximately 20.4 grams. This item comes with a signed LOA from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.
