Baseball appeared in the 1984 Los Angeles Summer Olympics as a demonstration sport, pitting eight teams, including the United States, against each other in a tournament where no medals were awarded. The United States and Japan played each other in the final game, with Japan earning a 6-3 victory. This Louisville Slugger bat is etched with “1984 Team USA” on the barrel. It has been signed by 21 members of the 1984 US Olympic Baseball Team, including Hall of Famer Barry Larkin, Mark McGwire, Will Clark, BJ Surhoff, Chris Gwynn, John Hoover, Sid Adkins, Bob Caffrey, Oddibe McDowell, Bobby Witt, John Marzano, Pat Pacillo, Don August, Mike Dunne, and several more. The signatures have been written in blue fiber-tip marker. This item comes with a LOA from JSA (B68762).
