One of baseball’s all-time elite batsmen, throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Tony Gwynn’s name was synonymous with hitting. An eight-time National League batting champion, Gwynn’s .338 career batting-average ranks 18th on the all-time list among and 1st among modern day (post 1960s) players. Gwynn hit a lot of balls with this 1985 Worth WC115 hand crafted Tony Gwynn model bat before it’s handle cracked. The barrel is loaded with green and black ink transfers, cleat marks, and a fair amount of pine tar on the handle as well as some adhesive tape residue and a silver “Swing B-9 Weight” sticker towards the high end of the handle. Gwynn’s initials, bat specs and model number are stamped into the knob and his number 19 is written in black marker. PSA/DNA sticker (#1B05832) is affixed to the end of the barrel; comes with full PSA/DNA letter of authenticity.
