Alan Trammell played his entire 20-year career with the Detroit and, playing alongside his double play partner Lou Whitaker, formed the longest continuous double-play combination in Major League history, playing 19 seasons together. At the plate, Trammell was one of the best-hitting shortstops of his era winning three Silver Slugger awards. This offered Cooper D143 model bat dates to Trammell’s 1986-1992 seasons and displays excellent game use. There are ball marks, blue and black ink transfers and slight checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact on the barrel. There is a moderate coating of pine tar on the handle and that bat’s length “34 ½” and weight “31 ½ OZ” is printed on the knob in black. Trammel’s number “3” is handwritten in black marker on the knob and he signed his name in blue marker on the barrel. This comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B18890) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.5 and a LOA from JSA (BB68473) for the signature.
