Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana led the San Francisco 49ers to four Super Bowl titles in the 1980’s and established himself as one of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. Montana finished his storied career with 40,551 career passing yards, 3,409 completions and 273 touchdowns. In his four Super Bowl appearances, Montana threw 13 touchdowns and 0 interceptions, winning MVP in three of those games. Presented here are a pair of red San Francisco 49ers practice sweatpants worn by the legendary quarterback during the 1987-1990 period. These draw-string sweatpants are a size L and manufactured by Russell Athletic. “FORTY NINERS” and a football are printed in white on the upper left thigh, while Montana’s number “16” is printed in white on the upper right thigh. The Russell size L tag is sewn on the inside waist and these pants displays moderate use.
