Hall of Famer Barry Larkin made his debut with the Cincinnati Reds during the 1986 season on August 13th after spending most of the season with the Denver Zephyrs of the American Association, where he was AAA Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year. Larkin had a .329 average with 10 home runs and 51 RBI in 103 games before his callup.

Larkin's first full season was in 1987 where he wore this Rawlings size 42 Sand-Knit batting practice jersey. This pullover jersey features the Cincinnati Reds logo sewn on in white and red tackle twill on the upper left chest. “LARKIN” is sewn on directly to back of jersey with his number “15” in white tackle twill. Larkin wore the number 15 in his first two seasons with the Reds before switching to his familiar number 11. The sleeve ends have a ribbed material with white/red/white pattern and a 1 ¼ x 2 ½ inch Rawlings red patch is sewn on the right sleeve. The collar is a v-neck with a red and white ribbed material and the 1 ½ x 2 ½ inch Rawlings tag is sewn on the inside front left tail. Larkin signed his name on the top of the “5” on the back of his jersey in blue marker and inscribed “’86 .283”. The jersey shows moderate game use with light bleeding on white portions of sleeve and neck, but the numbers are still white. This jersey comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (AA07633) for his signature and inscription and a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
