Hall of Fame shooting guard and Phi Slama Jama alumnus Clyde Drexler wore this white Portland Trail Blazers home jersey during the 1987-88 NBA season. Drexler emerged as a two-way superstar this season, setting a new career high with 27 points per game while recording 6.6 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 2.5 steals per contest. Drexler and his fellow young stars Terry Porter and Jerome Kersey led the Blazers to a 53-29 record to claim a second-place finish in the Pacific Division. Drexler, a 10-time All-Star, retired after the 1998 season, and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2004.

This jersey is white, with “Blazers” sewn across the chest in all lower-case letters in red and black tackle twill. Drexler’s number “22” is sewn on the chest and back in red and black tackle twill. “DREXLER” is sewn across the back shoulders in red and black tackle twill. A red and black sash runs diagonally across the chest of the jersey. A NBA logo patch is sewn on the left shoulder. Trail Blazers, “87”, “4[inch] LB”, and Sand-Knit size “44” tags are sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. This jersey shows light wear.

Also included in this lot are Drexler’s white home shorts from the 1987-88 season. The shorts are accented with a red and black stripe on the left leg, and a Blazers pinwheel logo on the right leg. An NBA logo patch is sewn on the left leg. “87”, Trail Blazers, Sand-Knit size “36”, “1-2[inch] HR”, and “1-2[inch] LI” tags are sewn on the back inside waistband. “22” is written on the size “36” tag in black marker. The shorts and jersey come with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
