Please note in the catalog this jersey is described as being attributed to the AFC Championship game. Based on additional photographic evidence that has been ruled out.

The all-time face of the Denver Broncos football franchise, it’s hard to pick out one game or moment that stands out in John Elway’s spectacular 16-year career with the Broncos, but the 15-play, 98-yeard ramble from end zone to end zone in the final five minutes of regulation play in the 1987 AFC Championship game against the Cleveland Browns simply referred to as “The Drive,” does come readily to mind.

The Standard Athletic burnt orange nylon mesh fabric was utilized by the Broncos from the mid-1970s through the late-1980s and features the hemmed sleeves, double mesh shoulder yoke and ribbed-neck vertically seemed collar of the jerseys worn by the team during the 1986-1988 period. Sleeve ends are ringed in blue and white RussCote application with one ½ -inch white stripe and two 11/16 –inch royal blue stripes. Elway’s number 7 is in full block font on the front and on each sleeve. Russell Athletic size- 46 manufacturer’s label with 100% nylon flag tag is on the lower left tail and Elway’s name is stitched onto on orange mesh name plate in white tackle twill. QB Hand-warmer pouch has been added to the lower front of the jersey and is lined with ribbed trim. The jersey reveals moderate game use with some fabric and seam distress, contact abrasions and evidence of repeated laundering and comes with an Endzone Sports Charities Letter of Opinion.
