Presented here is a 3 ½ x 2-inch paper ticket from the National Basketball Association’s 1987 All-Star Game at the Kingdome in Seattle, Washington on February 8, 1987. The midseason classic between the Eastern and Western Conferences featured the 11th and final All-Star appearance of Hall of Famer Julius Erving. The Western Conference fielded a starting five consisting of Magic Johnson, Alvin Robertson, James Worthy, Tom Chambers, and Akeem Olajuwon. The Eastern Conference boasted a legendary lineup consisting of Michael Jordan, Dominique Wilkins, Julius Erving, Larry Bird, and Moses Malone. The Western Conference defeated the Eastern Conference 154-149 with Seattle SuperSonics forward Tom Chambers taking home All-Star MVP honors. The blue and white ticket is labeled “THE 37th ANNUAL NBA ALL-STAR GAME KINGDOME SEATTLE WASHINGTON SUNDAY FEBRUARY 8, 1987” in the center of the ticket. The top and left side of the ticket contains the seating section, row, and seat number. The price to enter the 1987 All-Star Game? $25.00. The reverse side of the ticket stub features an ad for 7-11 convenience stores and ticket disclaimer. The ticket features some fading and cornering but the print is still bold and legible.
