In the late 1980’s, no one was better on the bases than Vince Coleman. Putting him on first base was often the moment a game changed in the Cardinals favor. During the 1989 season Coleman ran up a streak of 50 stolen bases without being called out. It was this kind of dominance on the base paths that earned Coleman the second of his All-Star game appearances. This two-tone Rawlings 279S model bat shows excellent use and is un-cracked. The barrel sports the special “1989 ALL STAR GAME” stamping. Coleman has signed the barrel in silver adding “1989 AS GU”. A great bat made especially for and used in the mid-summer classic. The bat comes from Coleman’s own collection and his signed LOA is included along with an LOA from PSA/DNA (1B10352).
