At the All-Star break in 1988, Darryl Strawberry was on his way to posting one of the best seasons of his career. Straw would eventually hit a league-leading 39 home runs and help the New York Mets make the post season. In that summer’s All-Star Game in Cincinnati, Strawberry started in right field and hit a single off Mark Gubicza in the bottom of the 4th. This Rawlings 113A model bat is un-cracked and shows light use. The barrel carries the custom “1988 ALL STAR GAME” stamping. A single blue ink transfer on the back barrel indicates its probable use in the mid-summer classic as ONL balls in 1988 had black ink while OAL balls that season were blue. The Mets star has signed the barrel in black marker, completing this All-Star gamer. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14158) for the game use and has been graded a perfect GU 10 and a COA from JSA for the signature.
