“Larry Legend” exemplified Boston pride while leading his Boston Celtics to three NBA titles on his way to the Hall of Fame. Perhaps the greatest clutch player in the history of the game, Bird earned three NBA MVP awards and remains one of the most popular players ever to step foot on a basketball court. This uniform set was worn by the superstar on the road during the 1989-90 season and would be considered the cornerstone of any Larry Bird or NBA collection - it simply doesn't get any better looking than this classic Celtics set. The green road knit jersey has the MacGregor Sand-Knit size "46" label in the lower left front tail. Additional tagging for the "Boston Celtics", "3" LB" and year "89" are sewn adjacent. Front has Birds immortal number "33" in white tackle twill beneath "CELTICS" in the same color material. The left strap of the jersey features the NBA patch and the black "FOLLOW THROUGH" strip sewn on. The back has "BIRD" an his number "33" in white tackle twill sewn directly to the knit jersey. The NBA Hall of Famer has signed the front "3" in black Sharpie (9/10). The shorts are the green road version with white trim that match the jersey. Inside the white waistband is the size "36" MacGregor label along with additional tagging for the "Boston Celtics". The year "89", number "33" written in black marker on a white strip and "2"LI" are sewn adjacent. Both pieces show good game use with the colors bright and clean and display beautifully.
