Bo Jackson was a two-sport phenom, playing running back for the Los Angeles Raiders of the NFL and the Kansas City Royals during the mid-1980s. Known for athleticism that seemed to know no bounds, Jackson was selected to the 1989 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, where Jackson hit a monstrous leadoff home run during the first inning off Rick Reuschel. Jackson would beat out a double-play grounder that allowed Ruben Sierra to score. He would steal a second base, becoming the only player in All-Star Game history to hit a home run and steal a base during the midsummer classic played on July 11th, 1989, at Anaheim Stadium in Anaheim, California. Jackson would earn the All-Star Game MVP Award for his spectacular play during the American Leagues' 5-3 victory over the National League, and finish the season with 132 hits, 86 runs scored, 26 stolen bases, 32 home runs, and 105 RBI.

Presented here is a 1989 All-Star Game full ticket signed by the All-Star Game MVP Bo Jackson. The 5 ¼ x 2 ½ -inch ticket features an illustrated image of a gold batter with mountains and Anaheim Stadium in the background. "1989 All-Star Game" is labeled on the illustration with the 1989 All-Star Game logo on the illustration's bottom right corner. The top of the ticket features the seating information "UPPER VIEW AISLE 202 ROW T SEAT 2" printed in black. "60th MIDSUMMER CLASSIC" is labeled in black on the top of the card below the seating information. American League and National League logos adorn either side of the bottom of the ticket that is labeled "NATIONAL LEAGUE vs. AMERICAN LEAGUE JULY 11, 1989 ADMIT ONE" in black with the price of "$40.00" and "NO EXCHANGE NO REFUND" printed below the price. The bottom of the ticket features the seating information. The reverse of the ticket features sections labeled "IMPORTANT," "WARNING," and "NOTICE" in black, followed by information and disclosure of the rights and responsibilities of the ticket owner. Jackson signed and inscribed "89 ASG MVP" across the ticket's midsection illustration with a black marker. The signature is bold, and the ticket comes encapsulated and authenticated by PSA (27199540) and graded Authentic.
