Presented here is a ticket from the Los Angeles Kings game against the Edmonton Oilers on October 15th, 1989 at Northlands Coliseum. Wayne Gretzky, playing for the Kings against his former team, broke Gordie Howe’s all-time record for NHL points with a game-tying goal in the third period. This goal gave him 1,851 career points, a number that increased to 2,857 at the time of his retirement. Gretzky finished this game with two goals and an assist, with his second goal of the game giving the Kings a 5-4 overtime win. This ticket is incredibly rare, with only three examples of the full ticket accounted for in the PSA population report. This ticket has been encapsulated and authenticated by PSA/DNA (27157549).
