Ken Griffey, Jr’s rookie season in 1989 saw him putting up an impressive slash line of .264/16/61 with 16 steals in 127 games. Over the next 21 seasons, Griffey amassed one of the most impressive careers in baseball history, launching 630 home runs and driving in 1,836 runs. In 2016, Griffey was inducted into the Hall of Fame, appearing on a then-record 99.3% (437 of 440) of all ballots. Griffey’s rookie-season Rawlings 255 B model bat exhibits excellent use with a slight handle crack. Several ball marks with stitch impressions are on the barrel along with blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs. Cleat imprints are present and the model number “255B” is stamped into the knob end. To complete this early Griffey gamer, the Hall of Famer has signed the barrel in contrasting silver marker. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B13265) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.5 and LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for the signature.
