Swinging this bat, Hall of Famer Paul Molitor finished the 1989 season with a nice .315 batting average, 11 home runs, 56 RBI, and 27 stolen bases. This Cooper H176 model bat displays heavy use and has been cracked. A two-inch section of wood is missing from the handle crack and there is some checking on the back barrel from repeated ball contact. Many ball marks and stitch impressions can be seen on the barrel and Molitor’s number “4” has been hand-written on the knob in black marker. Padding has been added to the knob with adhesive tape to enhance the grip. This bat comes with an LOA from MEARS (315374) for the game use and has graded this bat an A9.
