Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Fame linebacker Derrick Thomas wore these Nike turf shoes during the 1990 season, his second in the NFL. The former Alabama Crimson Tide standout led the NFL in sacks in 1990, with 20 quarterback takedowns, and six forced fumbles. An 11-year pro, Thomas’ career was cut short by a tragic car accident that would later prove fatal. These turf shoes are black, with gray Nike swoosh logo patches sewn on each side of the shoes. “NIKE AIR” is embroidered on the back of each shoe in white. These size 12 shoes show heavy wear, and as is common with many Nike products from the 1990’s, their midsoles have begun to show signs of deterioration. These shoes come with a LOA from MEARS, who have deemed them authentic.
