Still one of the most popular Yankees of all-time, first baseman Don Mattingly was in his 10th year with the club and garnered his sixth Gold Glove award when he wore this size-42 button-down grey road jersey with New York stitched across the front in navy and white double tackle twill. Mattingly’s signature appears on the jersey in bold blue sharpie on the front left above the New York lettering. A Wilson manufacturers label with size-42 flag tag is attached on the left front tail and a grey strip tag with “Mattingly 91 1” is sewn into the collar, signifying his name, the year and uniform set. The shirt sleeves are ringed in navy and white piping and the jersey displays light to moderate wear. There is a blue marker squiggle on the back below Mattingly’s number 23 which is also stitched in navy and white tackle twill. Jersey comes with JSA LOA #Y05166 and LOA from noted sports jersey expert Dave Miedema.
