Dominant on both sides of the ball (first in the NFL in points scored, second lowest in points allowed) the Washington Redskins finished the 1991 regular season with a record of 14-2. QB Mark Rypien threw for 3,564 yards and 28 touchdowns, with Gary Clark (1,340) and Art Monk (1,049) each recording over 1,000 yards receiving. On the ground, Earnest Byner rushed for 1,048 yards. After victories over the Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions, the Redskins beat the Buffalo Bills, 37-24, to win Super Bowl XXVI.
Offered here is a Tiffany & Co. 10K gold 1991 Washington Redskins Super Bowl XXVI player ring presented to backup quarterback Cary Conklin, featuring numerous diamonds – including three larger round ones – set inside a beautiful feather-shape design. Multiple smaller diamonds surround it, while “WASHINGTON REDSKINS WORLD CHAMPIONS 1991” reads around the outer perimeter. One side of the ring shows the Super Bowl XXVI logo complete with red enamel, along with the final score. “HAIL TO THE REDSKINS” appears at the top, while a wonderful depiction of the White House facade is displayed below. The opposite shank displays the name “CONKLIN” at the top above “12” and “QB”. An enamel-filled Redskins logo appears in front of three Lombardi Trophies, each engraved with the Super Bowl number it represents. Washington’s final overall record of 17-2 is depicted at the bottom. “TIFFANY & CO. 10K 420” is marked inside the band of this approximate size 11 ½ ring. This ring weighs approximately 50.3 grams and includes the original presentation box. This ring comes with a LOA from Cary Conklin.
