Buffalo Bills defensive lineman Bruce Smith wore this blue Bills home jersey during the 1992 NFL season. Smith, the NFL’s all-time leader in sacks with an even 200, played his eighth NFL season in 1992, recording 14 sacks, 89 tackles, and forcing three fumbles for the Bills. The Bills made the Super Bowl for the third consecutive season in 1992, however, they would fall to a powerful Dallas Cowboys team in the big game. Smith kept sacking quarterbacks through his age-40 season, registering five sacks in eight starts for the Washington Redskins in the year 2000. Smith was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2009.
This offered Bruce Smith jersey is blue, with his number “78” screened on the chest, back, and shoulders in white and red. “SMITH” is printed in white lettering over a matching blue nameplate on the back shoulders of the jersey. A “1992 Bills” tag and a Champion size “42” tag are sewn on the front left tail. This jersey shows moderate wear. It comes with a LOA from MEARS assigning the jersey a perfect grade of A10.
