Although he was 39 and in his 20th season in the majors, Royals legend George Brett was still a force to be reconned with. That summer the veteran first baseman hit .285 for the Royals and became just the fourth player in the history of the game to reach the 3,000 career hits milestone. The Hall of Famer used this black Wilson A2800 first baseman’s glove during that memorable ’92 season. The glove shows light use with visible wear in the pocket, face of the web and throughout the body. The gold foil stamping shows some flaking, especially in the pocket as one would expect. The black rawhide lacing is intact and appears original. “GEORGE BRETT” has been custom embroidered on the outside of the thumb, above which the Brett signed in bold silver pen, adding the year “1992.” A visually appealing gamer from one of the game’s greatest hitters. This glove comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA for the game use and a LOA from JSA for the signature.
